Bernborough: a turf legend

The horse from Toowoomba who could not race in the city until a change of ownership set him loose. In 1946 Bernborough reeled off fifteen straight wins, storming home from impossible positions under enormous weights, before breaking down at the height of his powers. Few horses have thrilled a crowd like the big Queenslander.
